Family Time

My parents recently came to visit.  Here are some of the things we did.

We went to Silverton.  We visited the Frank Lloyd Wright, Gordon House.

Scott & I tried out geocaching.  (It’s hard.  Next time we need to rent a 12-year old to help us find things!)

My parents enjoyed the Redwood Forest.

The line wasn’t too bad.  We only waited about 25 minutes, which I hear is a short wait!

Stampin' Up Convention with my Mom!

My mother and I met in Salt Lake City for the annual Stampin' Up Convention.  It was the best convention ever because we got to choose our classes and customize our experiences.

Spring Scrapbooking Convention

I look forward to spending time with my friend, Margaret, every year at the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Convention in Portland.  We go for a few days, volunteer our time to get in for free, take classes, and attend crops.  We have a crafting good time!

I won the Stampin' Up door prize!

California Dreamin'

I love vacation and I am so happy we had the opportunity to go to Anaheim, California, for a few days.  That said, the trip was WAY too short.  Next time we need to plan for a longer trip.  Meanwhile I'll just be doing some California dreamin' for 2014 or 2015.  We traveled there not to visit sunny California or even Disney Land.  We went to Anaheim to attend a big (more than 10 times the number of people who attend the Stampin' Up convention each year!) video game convention called BlizzCon.  Since a picture is worth 1000 words, here's what we did for vacation.

This is the line to enter the convention center.  eeekk

Scott with the mobs of people waiting in line.

I'm ready to have fun!

Picking up the freebies from a short line!

Ohh.. I got toys.

Getting ready to play a brand new game.

I think this costume should have won more than 2nd place.

Popular with the crowd, but not a winner.

Cute costumes, but none of them won.

I love the pandas.

This man proposed to her on stage during the costume contest.

I won a prize when I beat Scott at Monopoly!

Loved the BlizzCon jeopardy game

Closing ceremony with the band, Blink-182.

Meet the Parents

My parents came to Oregon recently for a visit.  We had a great time visiting the Evergreen Air & Space Museum, Nehalem Bay State Park, Tillamook Cheese Factory, Blue Heron French Cheese Company, and the Albany Carousel Museum.  I thought I'd share some of the highlights of their visit.
