Baron is feeling so much better.  His stitches are out and he is healing well.  I love that he's playing again!  My friend, Diane, gave Baron a cute red dog toy and it's quickly becoming his favorite. 

On the Mend

Baron is feeling better!  He'll still need another trip to the vet to remove the stitches, but he's acting like a dog again.  He's been eating and playing with his toys.  He still looks kind of funny with all the shaved spots, but the hair will eventually grow back.  Meanwhile he'll just have to endure the other neighborhood dogs laughing at his appearance.  hehe

An Update on Baron

Baron had to go back to see the vet today because his neck was not healing and was actually getting worse.  They kept him for several hours and sedated him to put in a drain.  Now he's back home and feeling pretty miserable.  He goes back in 4 days to have the drain removed and to have surgery to remove the dead tissue. 

Baron vs. the PitBull

I wanted to share the pictures of Baron after his ordeal with the pitbull. 

This is his less injured side.

His neck looks really bad.  I think all the hair there saved his life because had the dog bitten deeper who knows what would have happened. 

The leg was in the dog's mouth for a very long time.  He has multiple puncture wounds there.  I hope he'll be able to walk again soon.

I think he hates the "Cone of Shame" most of all.
